Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been sworn in as the Prime Minister of Greece for a second term after winning the election. He took the oath of office at a ceremony in the presidential palace. In the election, Mitsotakis secured 40.55% of the votes, more than double the main opposition Syriza party’s 17.84%. He has pledged to accelerate institutional and economic reforms. This is Mitsotakis’ second term as Prime Minister, having previously assumed office in 2019 when his party defeated Syriza in the election.

The Finance Ministry has approved an investment of Rs 56,415 crore in 16 states as part of the ‘Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2023-24’ scheme. The aim of the scheme is to boost capital spending by the states. The investment projects encompass various sectors, including health, education, roads, railways, and more. Additionally, the state share of two projects, namely the Jal Jeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, has also been included.

The Ministry of Agriculture has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Pixxel Space India Pvt. Limited to develop geospatial solutions for the Indian Agriculture Ecosystem. The collaboration aims to leverage Pixxel’s hyperspectral dataset to develop analytics models focused on crop mapping, crop stage discrimination, crop health monitoring, and soil organic carbon assessments.
