Phangnon Konyak from Nagaland became the first woman member to preside over the Rajya Sabha. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) revised India’s GDP growth forecast for FY24 to 6.1%, up from the previous projection of 5.9%. According to the World Economic Outlook, India’s economy is estimated to grow at 6.1% in 2023, contributing one-sixth of the total global growth this year, as stated by Danish Leigh, the division chief of the Research department at IMF.
