The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed fines on Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, and Axis Bank. Bank of Maharashtra was fined Rs 1.45 crore for non-compliance with loans and advances statutory restrictions and advisory on man-in-the-middle attacks in ATMs. Axis Bank was penalized with Rs 30 lakh.
India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a Mutual Recognition Arrangement for Authorized Economic Operators. The agreement was formalized during the 141st/142nd sessions of the World Customs Organization’s Customs Co-operation Council meeting held in Brussels. The aim of this arrangement is to promote greater trade facilitation and ease of doing business between the two countries. It establishes a framework for the recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs) from both India and the UAE.
