The Reserve Bank of India has appointed PR Seshadri as the MD & CEO of South Indian Bank, and he will serve for a three-year term. Seshadri has experience in mentoring businesses at both operational and board levels. He was previously the Managing Director & CEO of The Karur Vysya Bank Limited. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and a PG Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore.

Indian wrestler Priya Malik secured a Gold medal at the 2023 U20 World Wrestling Championships in the women’s 76kg freestyle category held in Jordan. She defeated Laura Celine Kuehn of Germany, becoming the second woman wrestler from India to achieve this feat. Antim Panghal had achieved this honor in the previous year’s edition. Priya Malik has previously won U17 and U20 world titles in wrestling.

India now boasts its first-ever night street racing circuit, established in Chennai through a partnership between the Tamil Nadu government and Racing Promotions Private Limited.
