The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) has been renamed the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) following the passage of the IIM (Amendment) Bill 2023 during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. This move makes NITIE the 21st IIM in India and the second in Maharashtra after IIM Nagpur. NITIE achieved a notable rank of 7th in the Management Category according to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023.

The Union Ministry of Defense has announced its intention to replace the Microsoft OS with a domestically developed secure operating system named Maya OS. This open-source Ubuntu-based system aims to enhance cybersecurity while providing a familiar interface. It incorporates a protective feature called Chakravyuh inspired by ancient Indian defense strategies.

India has achieved a remarkable reduction of 33% in greenhouse gas emissions over a span of 14 years, surpassing expectations.
