Justice Sheo Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Acting Chairperson of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) by the Central government. He replaces Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, who retired on July 6, 2023. Justice Singh previously served as a Judicial Member of the NGT and has held various positions such as district judge in Uttar Pradesh, Registrar (Judicial) at the Supreme Court of India, and Registrar General at the Allahabad High Court.

IIT Madras has become the first-ever Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) to establish a campus outside India. The Ministry of External Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Madras and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training Zanzibar (Tanzania) to set up the campus. The move is in line with the National Education Policy 2020, which encourages high-performing Indian universities to establish campuses in other countries.

According to a report by Crif High Mark, Bihar has surpassed Tamil Nadu as the state with the highest microlending borrowings in India as of March 2023. Bihar witnessed a significant growth of 13.5% in the gross lending portfolio during the March quarter compared to the previous quarter. Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) hold the largest share in the market, followed by banks and small finance banks.

India and Singapore signed a Protocol Document to extend the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in the field of Personnel Management and Public Administration until 2028.
