Ajit Agarkar, a former Indian cricketer, has been appointed as the chairman of the Senior Men’s Cricket Selection Committee. Qu Dongyu from China has been re-elected as the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for a second term. Qu received 168 out of 182 votes in the ballot of FAO member countries. His new term will run from August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2027. Qu was initially elected as FAO Director-General in 2019, and under his leadership, the World Food Forum (WFF) was established in 2021.
Meesho, a Softbank-backed e-commerce platform, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vision & AI Lab of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for a one-year collaboration.
